Fixation of a substance, generally liquid or gaseous, inside the mass of another substance, generally solid, and resulting from a complex set of capillarity phenomena, electrostatic attractions, chemical reactions, etc. Function by which the cells of living beings penetrate into their internal environment, into a part of the cell or into intercellular spaces, the substances that are necessary for them.
