Pixide

It is a type of dry and dehiscent fruit, with a very particular opening: the upper part of the ovary stands out from the rest of the fruit at maturation, like a cap. Usually these fruits are pendulous, and when opening the lid the seeds are released by the force of gravity. E.g. Poppy.
