Carbon dioxide, gaseous, colorless, odorless, soluble in water, forming an acidic solution, is the source of carbon that serves every green plant, which fixes and eliminates oxygen. This gas is continuously decomposed, mainly to form carbonates and, together with water vapor, plays the important role of filtering the sun’s rays.
