Chlorophyll

It is the group of photosynthetic pigments present in the chloroplasts of plants. It is able to channel the energy of sunlight into chemical energy through the process of photosynthesis. In this process, the energy absorbed by chlorophyll transforms carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates and oxygen. It is chlorophyll that gives plants their green color.
