Synonymous with fertilizer. Material of vegetable, animal or mineral origin, capable of improving the fertility of the soil or substrate, when mixed with it or irrigated over its surface. The fertilizer can be natural or artificial. Eg Bone meal, castor bean cake, Chile saltpeter, NPK.
