It is the liquid that circulates throughout the plant to feed its cells. Two types of sap are distinguished: raw sap, formed in the roots, by absorption of the existing solution in the soil, which is taken to the green organs of the plant through the xylem cells, to be used in the production of organic substances and thus transformed into elaborated sap, which is dispersed throughout the tissues of the plant through the phloem vessels, to feed the cells.
